I've been taking it easy this week. I don't have much of a training plan, but I do know it's been almost 2 months since I've had a rest week. I'll recharge a bit, then start some high intensity stuff before 'cross.
Hm nothing really new is going on. I am going to dig into my bikes a bit this weekend. I should have my 'cross bike mostly built, and my road bike refreshed with new cables and bar tape.
I am pretty close to springing for a nice all-around clincher wheelset. I am probably going to end up going with DT 240s hubs laced to 1.1 rims. I've had an extended test-ride on a set like them (my Reynolds freehub went out... again), and I really like how solid they feel.
Work has been pretty busy lately, with lots of those days where I leave feeling like I accomplished nothing since I was interuppted with so many little things. It's going to be like that through mid-September.
I went on a thinly-attended Cat6 ride last night; there were 4 of us over the course of the ride, and never more than 3 at once. It's pretty funny when more people meet up at Town Hall than actually do the ride.
I wanted to ride the track tonight, but I was pretty beat last night and couldn't bring myself to get out of bed at 5:30 am so I could get to the office early enough to leave at 4:30. Sucks that Blaine is so far from EP. I will be going up tomorrow night to sit around on the 'Wrong Side of the Track'.
