Lacking motivation.

I've hit one of those walls where it's been a struggle to get myself on the bike. Started out when I crashed on Sunday. I am still pretty sore from that. Everything is scabbed up and itchy now. I probably should have kept my wounds dressed better, but I got lazy.

Work has been a drag lately; I've been overwhelmed with tons of things to do and not enough time to do everything as thoroughly as I'd like. My sleep schedule has been off the last week or so, too. It's pretty much turned into an unplanned recovery week, except with more beer and less sleep.

It's already Friday tomorrow, and I haven't commuted in this week. That's a first since I've lived in Minneapolis. I never have been a die-hard commuter, but 2-3 times a week is the norm. I think it's the change of seasons that's getting me. Waking up when it's dark, and seeing the sun on the horizon when I'm still at work is a drag. The weather is tough, too. It's just cold enough in the morning to make me wish I had my cold weather gear on, but just warm enough in the afternoon to make me with I had my warm weather gear.

This weekend will be fun. I'll be doing Ham Lake on Saturday and Hudson on Sunday. Ham Lake was my first MN CX race, so it'll be interesting to see how I do now. I guess it doesn't matter since I am in the Bs. I think I got something like 14th in the Cs last year.

In other news, I haven't seen or heard from my roommate since Saturday. His car is here, his bikes are here, but he isn't. I did notice a thing or two moved in the kitchen today, so I will assume he's alive.
