Gmaps.

So I've been slightly OCD about logging my miles this year. Actually I've been tracking miles in a training log for about 3 years now. Depending on the bike I ride, I may have to manually calculate my ride distance, since not every bike of mine has a computer.

The new Gmaps Pedometer is so freaking cool. It borrows off Google Maps 'drag and drop' abilities, and ingelligently draws lines that follow the roads through two points. I can trace a route in 1/5 of the time that I used to be able to.

Sitting down and plotting this stuff out has helped my sense of direction in the city. Now I can look over my tracks and figure out better routes for bicycle bar crawls! Or just normal routes I suppose.
